On 17th May 2024 the fifth full-length album by Prague band Kill The Dandies! will be released under the title Weird in a Weird Way. It will be preceded by a single called The World on 26th April. The album will be released on Drug Me Records in collaboration with Musicraft and will be available on vinyl and as a digital download. The Prague release party will be on 24th May in Kasárna Karlín and the Brno release party will be on 25th May at the ArtBar. Both gigs will feature a special guest appearance by American psychedelic legend Night Beats.

Weird in a Weird Way builds on the obsessive bizarreness that Kill The Dandies! created on previous releases such as Ron Ron and Your Blood, My Veins. Everything here is pushed to new horizons, with Lynchian moods and colourful, surreal visions that are transformed into light touches of garage psychedelia, even veering towards the borderlands of 70s soul and post-punk rage. Walls of guitar noise a la Velvet Underground combine with analo- gue synths, hot Motown rhythms and dreamy melodies driven by country-psych melancholy. Two of the tracks are spiced up with a horn section, thus referencing the best moments of Curtis Mayfield and other „weird“ soul artists.
